Nikon 70-200 at good price

I was in LCE in Manchester earlier today and noticed that they had the Nikon 70-200mm 2:8vr on sale at £999.99. This is not as expensive as online retailers. If anyone was thinking about getting one this may help out.

You toad! That lens in on my list to get and it's only up the road. One thing that strikes me is that at £999 it's only 50 notes more than a 2nd hand version I saw a while back - are you sure it was new?

Yes it was new. I was in there buying a new camera strap when I saw it. I am saving for this lens and wish I was a bit further on in my fund raising.
