I'm quite new to photography, but have bought a Nikon D60 and with this I mainly use the 18~200 as an alround lens, but am looking to add a 60mm for macro in non moving object!

If anybody can point me in the direction of a good source for a 60mm lens I would love to know, the best I have found is one for £229. Do they turn up second hand, if so where to look?

Flasharry - get the OLDER version of the 60mm micro..the AFD lens. That is probably the one you saw for £220.

At that price I would rip the man's hand off......don't get the AFS model (probably around £500ish)....I have the standard AFD and it is a cracking lens...the previous one, the 55mm f2.8 micro manual focus was the crispest lens in 35mm for years. The resolving power is just incredible. The 60 is just as good and you will get fantastic pictures from it.

I ended up accidentally buying one of those yesterday!

Am I right in thinking I need to get an extension tube to go to 1:1.

I've got a 60mm macro. It's the non-D version but I love it. One of my favourite lenses.

Dealt bought a Nikon 60mm f2.8 D AF Micro Nikkor Lens for £228.99. :D
