Does anyone actually have one yet? They seem to be pre-order on all sites so wonder if any actually were released to the public yet? I seem to remember the 300mm PF was the same in the early days of release?

I went the other way from a 200-500 to a 300 PF plus TC and I wouldn't go back, certainly from a weight perspective... I really wish they'd gone for 600 5.6 though - the 500 5.6 isn't enough of a focal length increase over the 300 plus 1.4x to make it appealing for 300 f4 users

Very true and another reason I’m really tempted to get another 300pf as I still have my 1.4TC III and that combo fits in any bag so easily

It's also great as a macro combo for the likes of butterflies and dragonflies :)
 
I've had a couple on order for aaaaaaaages, and still no sign of an ETA.
