Hi,

Does anyone know if the Nikon 300mm f/4 is like hens teeth or something? Do Nikon not produce very many of them? Had one on back-order for over a month now, and Jessops can't give me any idea of when I might get it:(

Hoping I'll receive it in time for the Leuchars airshow in early September but I have my doubts:'(

It's always difficuly to get hold of, unless you already have one of course:)
 
Try Grays of Westminster, they are meant to have EVERYTHING in stock arent they?

(same price as Jessops as well)

Have you tried asking Kerso? He might be able to source one for you, alternatively Calumet in Glasgow always seemed to have one whenever I was in their store.
 
Greys of Westminster are very good, when I bought mine they were very short, but Greys had one

I can see you are in Shetland which is just a few miles from the West Midlands!, but Hales Owen Camera Centre has a used 300mm F4 at £325.00 I think it is, I've no idea if that is a good price or not or how old it is ( it has a leather covered lens hood which may tell you) but I can say it is in excellent condition as I examined it before buying a 70-300VR.
