Nikon 2x tele viii

I've got a Nikon 300mm f2.8 vrii and was really thinking of getting the 2x tele ... I am in two minds about this as I have a Sigma 150-600mm sport already .. I can get the tele cheap though so thought it might be a good opportunity .. any thoughts?
 
Nothing will work better with the TC 2.0E-III than the 300 f2.8 VRII although there will obviously be some loss of IQ ... I would only suggest the Mk3 TC though.
 
yes it's the iii .. am I being a bit stupid as I have the reach with the Sigma 150-600 sport .. but the Nikon is sooo much easier to use ..

IQ between the two at 600mm might be marginal but the option of the bare lens or with the 1.4 will make it a worthwhile purchase UNLESS you plan to be at 600mm most of the time.
 
Do quite a bit of bird photography (well that's what my excuse is) .. so the length is a good thing. The Nikon just seems so much more .. well .. easy to use .. and the price is great for the tele x2 .. hmmmmm
