hi guys
thinking about buying the nikon 28-300
how do you rate the lens ?? how is the image quality , focus speed ,etc etc

also looking at the siggy 50-500 os how do rate this lens, will it work on d300 / d7000 / d700

I have a 28-300 that I use with my d800e, it's a really flexible lens but can get heavy after a while.
 
Good lens, quality is good and focus speed fast enough to get good shots of fast jets. I had a 50-500mm a few years ago. Didn't get on with it.

That lens is a capable performer. Don't think it is one I would want to be without.

I bought the 28-300 for my trip to Thailand, I really like it.

I have the Sigma 50-500mm OS, excellent lens but it does need good light. You really need to shoot at at least F8 if using 500mm and it can be a bit of a pain to carry around at times.

Recent shot on my Pentax K-5II with the Sigma
