Nikon 24mm - f/1.4 !!

Got one sitting, waiting for me in China...and it's killing me. Cost about 2/3 of the UK price though! If noone's gotten back to you by December I'll oblige you :p

Me too. Have been dithering for about 4 weeks now :(

b****r. Been trying to avoid this one. Why did you have to remind me of it!!!

Kev.

I've been dithering since it came out - lot of money though . . . Do you think the price will drop . . . .anytime soon?

if the price drops I'll be buying one - but I'm not sure I'm going to be holding my breath

I tried one out at FOCUS earlier this year - with a D3s - and shot some images at 6400ISO at 1.4 - was getting 1/2000 or something silly...

And with the shallow plane of focus the results looked much more like a standard lens!

Very tempting!

I quite like the retro design style of that 25mm.

That is a LOT of money for a prime :O

Would love to try one though...

guessing you haven't seen the prices of the long primes then (200mm and up).

What is the most expensive consumer lens (so discounting things like the Canon 1200mm)? I'm guessing it must be the Canon 800 f/5.6 at £8k?

Sigma do a zoom that's £20k.

It's a 200-500 2.8 or something daft.
