Not having much luck with my 24-70. I was planning on selling it, but just returned from MPB who have informed me there is a very small amount of fungus on one of the glass elements of the lens. I have never notice it, optically the lens is excellent but they won't buy it and I don't want to sell without it being fixed.

Anyone experiences this? Is it an expensive fix? I am going to have to send it off to someone to be fixed, any suggestions of where can do this at a decent price.

Hard to beat Miles Whitehead. > http://www.mwcamerarepairs.co.uk/

Give him a ring for a price as it's probably a common procedure for him to strip down that lens.

I had a Nikon 28 -105mm D lens with Fungus on a front element and IIRC he charged me £60.00 about four years ago, plus postage both ways.

That's pretty reasonable actually.
