Nikon 20-35mm f/2.8 AF-D on FX

Has anyone had experience of using this lens on a Nikon FX body and if so is it a lens worth considering at around £400 which is what they seem to sell for, if not any others i should be considering for the same sort of price?

I had one when i first got my D700, i quite liked it, was not to heavy and nice and wide on FX. sold it to get a 24-70f2.8 as i wanted more range,

Hi Roger, do you remeber it suffering from flare to the point where it was too bad to shoot near the sun?
