Yes
Just wondering if anybody here has any real world experience with the above lenses.

Basically after selling my old gear a year or so ago I've laid my hands on a d80 and am looking for a cheap walkaround lens.

Reading some reviews people prefer the 18-70 to the regular 18-55 but I can't find any comparing it to the 18-135.

Photo wise ill be shooting anything and everything both indoors and outdoors.

Anybody that can help i'd be super gratefully.

Although the 18-135 was the kit lens on the D80 I'd take the 18-70 of those three for its better build and better IQ or if not that then the 18-105VR.

I used to own the 18-70 with my original D70s about 6 years ago and it certainly took great shots.

I mainly used it set at 18mm, but it was useful having the option to try other focal lengths as this was my 1st ever DSLR.

18-70mm.... great optics and the build is a step above usual kit lenses. Plus, the variable aperture doesn't have as great a gap as the 18-135mm (f/3.5-4.5 as opposed to f/3.5-5.6 on the latter). The 18-70mm also has a metal mount, which I'm sure the 135 doesn't.

Thanks everyone for the advice.

I was leaning towards 18-70 but wanted some with experience to confirm my thoughts.

The 18-70 is a really great lens, loved mine

regret selling my 18-70 when i got the 28-70 f2.8.

Is a great lens and great optic.

Glad so many people can recommend it as I just won one on ebay for fifty squid.

Really looking forward to trying it now.
