Hi folks
Seriously considering a Nikon 18-300 and do away with all my lenses as i've found myself agonising over taking out different lenses. If i do just take one then the need for the one i've not got crops up and it's taking the joy out of photography for me!
Fed up of being a pixel peeper and was happiest a couple of years ago with my D90 18-200vr combo, just want to get out and shoot
So anyone used the 18-300vr? and can compare it to the 18-200vr 11

Would the weight not counteract the supposed benefit of a single lens.
Check out reviews and take it from there.
Why not go back to 18-200 if thatscwhat you used before

Weight not an issue, they're not much bigger than a 17-55 2.8, just the big bag of lenses i've had enough of
Was considering the 300 over the 200 for extra reach

They are very expensive i would just go back to the 18-200 vr too, or get the tamron 18-270mm VC PZD at half the price of £350 and keep a few of your favourite lenses.

I am also currently interested in this as at the moment I have a 18 - 55 and a 50 - 200. I am still a beginner and don't really have a specific type of shooting I am interested, basically a bit of everything, holiday shooter.

One of my main bug bears is changing the lens as when I want to shoot something it always seems to be the wrong lens. I have read a few different reviews and the tamron af 18-270 f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD and the sigma 18 - 250 f/3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS lens seem to be favourable.

What would getting a decent 18 - 135ish and using a 2x extender be of equivalent quality, I am guessing not but guess it will be better at the lower end onfthe scale not using the extender compared to the super zoom?

An 18-135 lens would not work with a 2x converter
