Nikon 18-105mm VR Lens

I wonder if anyone could offer some help with what is probably a stupid question. I was interested in purchasing this lens, Nikon 18-105mm AF-S DX Nikkor f3.5-5.6 G ED VR Lens but I notice it has an internal AF (silent wave) motor as I have a D80 which has the AF motor already built in to the camera can It still be used as I have not seen an AF version without the silent wave motor. yep i got one with my D90 when i bought it

you can use af-s lens's no problem - you will be shocked at how quiet it is

The AF-S motor is used instead of the built in AF motor, there won't be an issue at all.
