Had both the 105mm DC and 135mm DC infact I still have the 135mm DC and although it's not my go to lens I wouldn't part with it now.:)
The image quality is superb and I use for landscapes and portraiture.

Like Phil above, the 135mm isn't my go to lens either but I can't get round to selling it, as it is very good for the times I do use it.
However, it does give a lot of chromatic aberration especially in contrasty light (well, mine does anyway...still wasn't enough to make me sell it though)

Related question to this. Been watching out for a good deal on eBay for one of these as my local camera shop has not seen one for years and they seem to be hens teeth as the usual suspects. I've seen the prices rise from ~£550 a year or so ago (regretting not getting one then) to around £750+ now. What sort of value would you please on these based on your experiences ? It's not a must have lens for me, I just like the idea of it hence the missing the lower prices a while back and still being uncertain.

MPB have got three of them at £629.

Had the 135, loved the images it produced on the D700 but 85 was just that bit more practical for my preferance.

After I made my post I found that Wex had a brand new one in (over £1k) - MPS have not had them in when I've looked (during their sales). Think I'm going shopping now - sheers for that :)

_ crap site for searching - looking at Nikon fit lenses, shows none. Doing a search gives 3 options for the same lens. First option no results, second option (visibly the same search) 3 options ....

I personally love the 135mm DC.

It works so well on my D700, however on a DX body (especially 24mp DX) I found it to be poor unless shooting at smaller apertures (which is not what I bought it for). It does suffer flaws like CA and purple/green fringing in certain contrasts/lights, but I adore the bokeh and light contrasts it produces especially with portraits. I only use it at f/2 and sometimes use the DC function although it's difference is hardly noticeable. I only use it for full length shots or portraits, but it's a lens I'd never part with unless I switched to another camera brand.

If you're a bokeh freak then you'll probably love it.
