Hi there , does anyone know if it is possible to manually set the focus on the nikon 10.5 mm dx lens.

i need to focus in the dark by torch light.

You can manually focus any Nikon lens.

Just set the lever on the body to "M" or do it in the menus if you don't have a physical control.

Just set it to infinity, everything from about 3 feet will be infocus anyway.
 
the 10.5 has an aperture scale - set infinity against the aperture you will be using to get the max DoF.
 
thats my question with this lens as it has no manual switch.

non that i can see anyway.

i,m happy to set it on manual and leave it like that.

as any tog should.

The switch referred to is on the body of your camera. Facing your camera, with lens pointing towards you, it will be on your right-hand-side right where the lens contacts with the camera body. There, a lever will allow you to switch the lens's focusing to manual.
