Nikon 1 V2 vs. d7000

If it's a day to day camera to take everywhere have they thought of a sony rx100 or panasonic lx7 as alternatives ?
 
Well the really obvious pro or con is the size difference. However, what is a pro to me concerning size maybe a con to somebody else.

May be better to ask them what size of camera they want as that may get your answer straight away...

They are not comparable. Nikon specifically produced the 1-series so it would not steal sales from its DSLRs, but from rival CSCs.

Personally, I think they've done an excellent job. Brilliant cameras both, but couldn't really be more different.
