Nikon 1 Series - show us your shots

Looks good Mike the backgrounds also nicely blurred.

this shot was with same lens but with nikon D7200, whats strange is , i keep cameras on auto iso for convenience , the V2 was 160 the D7200 1800 whats that all about? why is the iso so high on the D7200.
View attachment 49588 .

Wow,you cant complain about the V2 and Sigma, they look to have the edge on this one, want to sell the D7200 cheap :exit:

only just had it Mike...looks like a very nice camera, much much better than the d7100 i had, i was never happy with that one, perhaps i had a dud?

Thinking of adding the D7200 as the D750 doesn't have the reach.

I use a bridge camera occasionally and also a V2 i noticed the ISO on both of these is mostly lower than i used to get with the D7100 or get now with the D750,do smaller sensors make a difference.

not sure Mike?
I seem to be getting very high iso in good light, even iso of 6500 at 5.6? must be a setting I'm missing...

Any one managed to use the J5 with sigma lenses,i use the V2 but think the J5 will have a better sensor.

fantastic..love my V2.

Thanks,i have a feeling after my first outing that this set up may be over exposing slightly so may have to dial a bit of adjustment in but i liked using it.

Day out in Picadilly, London - tried to get to a display of art in the Royal Academy but, we ended up in the National Gallery - not such a bad thing!

Im liking these cameras a lot ;)...My V1 and J1 are great for close ups, either using the cx 30-110mm with a Raynox 150, or FT1 and Sigma macro 150mm lens.
They weigh next to nothing...and Ive only just picked up/blown the cobwebs off my Nikon D700, after not using it for the last 4 months!...I have to admit, the D700 feels solid in the hand though.

I might have to find me a V2 soon!!!...They dont come up for sale very often though??

Cheers Paul.

great shots, V2 is much better than V1 , but i still have my V1 ,might sell it one day, had my V2 on the bay,so they do come up now and again..

Cheers for that.
Yeah, im watching a couple of V2's on Fleabay right now. Im in no rush to get one, but if a local(to me) V2 came up, id probably have a go at it.

There are a couple of V2s on WEX right this very moment...

Thanks very much for that link, its always worth a look on those sites ;) but to be fair, i tend to buy my secondhand gear privately. Theres a white V2 on Fleabay, with less than 4000 clicks, for a buy it now price of £219.

It needs to be white so you can find it on the end of a big black lens ;)

Yes, i saw your pic of your white V2 on the 50-500mm lens, thats crazy, but i bet it works a treat.

Heres a couple of "different" images, using the tiny cx 10mm lens(on my V1) i also attached a Polaroid 500D close up lens, just to make it interesting!!!

Both images are uncropped, and i had to get a bit too close for comfort, in order to make these shots. I wouldnt try this on a warm day, with a heated up/active snake!! but here, the Adder was cool, and not long out of hibernation.

Nikon V1,10mm lens, 500D close up filter, image is not cropped. f/2.8 1/125 ISO 100 Aperture Mode.

Yeah, their prices are still too high for my liking ;)...I cant see me paying over £200 for a decent V2?...I would think somewhere between £150- £175 tops.
I think i will wait until the much anticipated new Nikon DL cameras hit the market this Summer, that might prompt an influx of V2's up for sale?!

Still enjoying the images that my V1/J1 combos can capture...These cameras work well for close ups, and the Jpegs edit just great. I wonder what the Raw files are like? I should perhaps try shooting Raws, see what happens?

Several more images.
