Nik Tools Silver Efex

This is a 'suspect' site that others have used and found issues with - avoid.
 
As I said in another post recently they were taken over by Google last year and have gone to download only.
 
David did you manage to get your silver efex,
I am also looking but want the silver efex pro, if anyone can help please.

No, I gave up. I have a feeling as google have got it, that they might radically change the product in the near future..

Not sure if they would or even why they would, but who knows.
I would just be satisfied with silver efex pro, but its near impossible to get a copy..

Cost I would imagine!

I too would love this plugin but don't really feel like paying their price for it. Great plugin though.

Annoying as I purchased this a few years back but sold it with an old laptop!
 
Google don't generally charge for downloaded software, they get you to pay for a service. There is a feeling that one of the main reasons they bought Nik was for Snapseed. I hope they keep developing the desktop apps and revise the price down a bit as I would really like the whole suite but cannot justify the cost.

In the meantime if I can get a second had copy I will.

I don't think prices have changed much since Google took over. I paid £125 when I purchased from Colour Confidence at Focus last year. What they do seem to have dropped is the upgrade to the complete collection if you already have one of the individual products.

If it helps then you can get a 15% discount at niksoftware.com by using coupon code DSI.

Yes this seems the best discount about, 15% is about the max i can find any where.

My bad. I assumed it would have 20% VAT added at checkout for UK.

Not as good a deal as it is inclusive. Will revise price to £100 delivered if that makes a difference to you.
 
thankyou, I think I'm going to go for the whole set as I can get it all for another £40.
 
Now £112 with discount. Change in the exchange rate probably.
 
if you have a student in the house or are an adult learner yourself, you can get it at half price from Nik Software - go to the 'education store' bit
