Nik Plugins ... Reversible Edits?

I often use Topaz and Nik plugins to adjust my photos.
When I alter a photo in Topaz but then change my mind, I can delete the alteration by simply clicking on 'Edit' in CS6 and selecting 'Step Backward'.

However, this does not work with the Nik plugins.
Why isn't a Nik edit reversible?
Or is it?

Nik use about 7 steps to do their filtering because of the way they interact with layers. Topaz just return a single result to Photoshop. It may seem a hassle but I prefer it since I always forget to dupe the layer before starting Topaz.

Here's the colorise filter - most are the same.

You need to step back 7 steps in history or just delete the layer.
