I bought a roll of expired Agfa Portrait XPS 160 off the evil bay on a whim, and was searching for some more info about it. I've not found a spec sheet yet or any idea when it was withdrawn, though I did find some reviews from 2001. On the way, I saw a link suggesting that Nik and Trick were selling it hand cut in 127 format. I'd never heard of Nik and Trick until a few days ago, when @siman23 put that thread in Photos from Film about Kodak Vision3 250D colour negative film. So I took a look, and they have some interesting looking stuff, including a few lenses and bodies, and a range of film. Delivery cost doesn't seem too bad, compared to Calumet for instance.

Anyone used them?

Yep, I bought some film from them at the end of last year (Orwo B&W, a sample pack of cine film recut for 35mm and Rollei 80s in JCH cases). Called them to discuss developing the cine films and I only have good things to say - very helpful and friendly on the phone.

I saw they had a few 127 films and at least one 620, but I think you have to supply them a spool to wind on to.

Yes they seemed very helpfull when I contacted them about that film, good comunication. I only found them when looking for a supplier for that vision3 film, I also have a roll of the 50D to try. It took nearly 2wks for it to be developed but then it does need to have the remjet removed so I think they do it in batches when they have more to develop.

As the forum local for this shop I popped down there this morning to see what was going on. There was an amazing selection of film, all the usual stuff plus a wealth of unusual films.
I spoke to Richard for a good half an hour about all manner of things film, he explained to me his personal favourites, showed me scanned examples, explained to me what Remjet was and why it is needed for Cine films.
I walked out with a Paterson reel, a 50ml sample bottle of Rodinal, two rolls of Delta 400 and a roll of Orwo UN54 for something unusual to try out!
All in all a very good experience, a truly passionate film camera shop it seems :)

There is some fantastic looking stuff on that site, just a shame I shoot next to zero 35mm.

Just ordered some of the Vision 3, I have fancied trying movie film for a while now and as they can develop it as well then its worth a try......

I'm good friends with Nikki and Richard who own Nik and Trick and get all my film from there they also develop it for me. I also get all my printing done there as well as a number of cameras and other stuff. I couldn't recommend them highly enough very friendly and they know their stuff when it comes to photography.

I've seen that washi stuff before but I don't know if it would play well with my jobo.

I asked about that when I spoke with them and it's got to be developed in trays in a dark room, which is why I didn't get any. The PDF linked above states, "Washi must be processed under safelight in open trays" so I don't know if it could be done in a Jobo.

I've dealt with them a few times, both as a customer and just asking advice, they both seem to be thoroughly good eggs :)
