nightclub photography problem

im trying to eliminate a potential problem i noticed last night my camera was starting steam up due to the heat in the nightclub and want advice on how best to deal with this problem technical details below
18-55mm nikor lens
Nikon d5100
any advice would be welcome

Don't store the camera in a cold area to start with. If it is cold, air conditioned, or even straight out of the car with the temps as is then the lenses and internals will be cold. As soon as they hit a warm sweaty club they will fog. Keep the camera as warm as you can before you go in.

As said once your camera is at the same temp as the club you really shouldn't have this issue...so just get the camera out for a 15-30mins in the club to get it all warmed up, as it does sound like your camera was very cold
