Hello there,

I've just recently come back to/ found it again this place and have some time on my hands now so am begging for advice from people (apologies if there are already threads on this - but i searched found nada that matched what i was after)

I'm keen on getting some night sky photography started and was wondering if folk could recommend somewhere in South East England that i could get some good shots - away from cities, around an hours drive..or just any place which someone can recommend.

Also any pointers of things i need to think of when doing this. I tend to shoot landscapes and cityscapes so doing the night sky is new to me

Any advice and comments are appreciated.

I live in Hertfordshire and I found a location (which is mysteriously no longer on my TPE, so I can't offer it at the moment!) which was so dark you could see the milky way with your eyes (just). Anyone who lives in the SE will know that is a bloody rarity! Anyway, the site I use is:

nice. that sounds grand. will have a look at the link. if you could find it in the TPE that'd be fantastic.
