My daughter`s Brownie pack is going on a nature walk tomorrow evening, to look for bats and things like that. I would like to take a few shots of them going about their business and wanted to know what lens would be good for this type of thing, and to use a flash or not?

I have a 50mm f1.4 and sb800 at my disposal. So any tips would be much appreciated.

TIA

they move pretty fast so capturing them in flight might be difficult! Youll have to get close with a 50 as they are not that big!

Yeah i`m bad enough at taking still things let alone moving. Maybe ill stick to the Brownies. Just found out they will be feeding swans too. The only other fastish lens i have is the 105mm f2.8 nikon micro.
