I guys

Has anyone tried this, very new to the photography world but would really like to try it.

Am I aiming to high, only just learnt how to switch the camera on.
 
Light painting.. if you look at the Creative Photography section you'll see examples..

this was posted in tutorials where new threads are supposed to be passing on knowledge rather than asking for it :)

Anyway, no problem and welcome to the forums.

I'm taking it you mean light painting where you leave the camera on a tripod with the shutter open and then run around in the dark shining light on things to make the picture. i've not tried it myself but I'm sure someone will be along to tell you how.
 
Iv got a few light painting shots since I started, just needs either a tripod or a flat surface to rest the camera on, set the shutter sped to 5+ seconds and make sure the light you are using isnt to bright, or it will cause glare on the photo.
 
It really depends on what you want to achieve from light painting as to the advise to give :thumbs: as there are a few different styles so if you want to give us an idea as to what you are looking to achieve we can hopefully give you some advise :thumbs: as already said check out the creative section to see quite a bit of light painting :thumbs:

Maybe post a link to a photo that you've seen and you would like to try :thumbs:
