Hi all ,
Does anyone use anti- glare night driving glasses?
If so are they any good and could a specific brand be recommended?

I have a pair of Duco polarised ones from Amazon.
Tbh they aren’t great, just make everything orange and don’t appear to actually have any polarisation.
They do reduce the glare of headlights slightly, so I do wear them usually anyway.
 
Definately not cataracts- had eyes tested a week ago! Just think its because I rarely drive at night these days but when I do I struggle a bit with the bright lights cars have thesedays- especially if its raining!
 
i'm the same to be honest I don't drive much and at night as you say in rain it can be really bad.
tend to just slow right down especially country roads I do find making sure my wind screen wipers are nice and fresh and screen really clean a lot more.
 
Can't compare directly, but I have polarised prescription sunglasses. The difference in low light or bright sunny weather with and without glasses is impressive. Reflections off the road, off puddles, and from oncoming vehicles' lights are all improved. Obviously this with sunglasses. You would experience something similar from driver's glasses at night time. The main thing would be to make sure they're polarised lenses and not just tinted.
 
I got the anti-glare coating on my latest pair of varifocals & although they are slightly better than my last pair, I find they aren't as easy to keep clean/smear free & wouldn't bother again. I now use my previous pair for driving (kept in the car) & use the newer ones at home.

This. A clean screen makes the world of difference, especially the interior, which many neglect.

I've found the microfibre cloths brilliant on glass.
