ha yes another nifty fifty thread.

so ive decided kit lens is being thrown to the curb. and as im skint a nifty fifty is going to take its place till i can afford a very good walkaround lens.
although having trouble trying to find the cheapest delivered.
i want to buy it from uk for obvious reasons. wheres the cheapest to get it. without going ebay.
 
Is it for a Canon, Nikon, Sony etc...

Which version do you want f/1.4 f/1.8 ???

Have you tried Warehouseexpress. I don't know if they are the cheapest but they have been recommended to me a number of times.
 
Camera bag says Canon, so that may narrow it down a bit.

only thing we got is a jessops. and doubt they would have any in.
il have another look around google.
 
Believe me Jessops are cr£p for the 50. Its either gone within mins or they aint got a clue.
Oh and yup its £80 , argos online do it for £90 wtf!

i got one of amazon this morning for 65 delivered.
 
i could do with a filter. looking for a uv filter just for protection. as i do with all my lenses.
 
Don't help you my friend but I was about to buy one from 7dayshop at £69 and found a mint mk1 1.8 on my local fleamarket this week for £40.
I am amazed at its optical quality and well built too. All I want now is a nice 24mm prime to go with it.
 
Hi does anyone know if I can improve the brightness of the viewfinder info on my 30d? I can't see reference to it in the instuctions and it seems silly that it's so poor. Indoors in poor light it's ok but outside in the sun I find it near impossible to see. I have a 30 year old canon A1 and that's perfect in any light, also it's red and I can turn it off if I don't want it! Why when they have got it right do they have to alter it for the worse!.
