Nifty Fifty Challenge 2025 - Chat thread

No AI allowed is in the rules ;)

Nice one, Paul, happy to help you if needed (y)

Here's a starter list of themes:
Boat(s)
Vehicle
Street
Shop
Hats
Windows
Fence
Contrast
Travel
Postbox
Windy
Lines
Leaves
Night

If anyone could add other ideas, then we can do it like the 52 where there is a master list, and all you need to do Paul is pick one from that list. Or you could, if you wisdh, PM me at the time to select one for you.

Decay
Peaceful
Leading lines
Headwear

Thanks Guys, I guess I'm it then. :$ I'll give this some more thought Linsay, I had thought I'd do it the old names in a hat way but that does depend on how many suggestions I get if I have a big enough hat. :ROFLMAO: I will get back to you if I need the help though thanks for the offer.

So far we have 23 suggestions (I've merged a couple that were repeated), I will offer these;

On Wheels
Symmetry
Movement
Energy

That should be enough so I'll start it with one randomly picked from that list for January 2026 on the first of the month/year.

I'll start a new thread and continue with the same rules as Gav had (including no AI).

Thanks in advance for the support, remember it'll only be for the fun of the challenge, no points or prizes.

Thanks for the challenges @Gav. - as Paul said, they've encouraged me to think about shots in a different way, and also got me out shooting when sometimes I wouldn't have bothered.

And thanks Paul @Topsy for carrying on the challenge. I've got loads on at the moment, but if ever you need help let me know, and if I can I will :)

I seem to remember one chap making millions off a similar photo, good luck with it,

then Paul can put up his joining fee. :)
I had nothing to do with the image, I'm sure it was just ad stock, but I've replaced it with a link instead.

apologies, i did not mean anything by it or to take it down or anything

I've put up a pic in the Dec light and shade. What a royal PITA to take! Three times I went to the location. I spotted the shadows on the tree out walking, and went back with camera, each time as I got to it the light went. The shadows only work for about an hour in the morning and the weathers iffy here.
On the last trip I got a few shots then the camera battery had a tilt (fully charged yesterday) so I think it's on the way out. Luckly I have spares.

You deserve an award for effort!

Agreed with Toni, well done for the repeated visits and getting the shot.
