Nifty Fifty Challenge 2024 - Chat thread

I love Rooibos tea.

But make no mistake, it has zero caffeine.

Thus making it perfect for evening enjoyment.
 
But I need caffeine in the evening as I need to stay awake to stop monsters under my bed getting me.. :LOL:

lol . . . so I finished 10hrs physical work in work, completed some exercise at home - a farmers walk with 56kg . . . prodded around my tooth (I have the most terrible toothache) . . . ate a packet of crisps . . . drank a few cans of lager . . . photo next !

I got through my toothache (which has returned) and enjoyed making my Shadow photograph :naughty:

Shame about the toothache. My daughter's wisdom tooth was playing up, and I got her some 0rajel. She said it worked well :)
 
I may have just filtered Lightroom for photos taken this month with my 50mm equivalent lens, and posted the only one with a shadow...
 
Well I got the shot for my Shadow entry . . . guitarist Hank Marvin is slang for starving and was indeed a Shadow along with guitarist Bruce Welch and drummer Brian Bennett. My empty gateaux tinfoil dish vouches for that ! . . . The vintage Asahi super-multi-coated Takumar radioactive 50mm f1.4 lens also did really well.

All photos were fab and good fun too !

Talk about the 11th hour - just squeezed one in after 11pm.

The sun falls on the front of our Cussy house in the morning, and I'd just got up and walked across the landing when I saw the light coming through the second bedroom window. Never mind naked, had to go back for a camera and grab the shot, then back downstairs to shave and shower.

I appreciate not everyone will own an ND filter, but I can't see a reason why you can't use one, it's not altering the FOV, FL or minimum focus distance.
 
Missed another month unfortunately :(
The thought was there... I was out with the camera yesterday looking for shadows as it was a lovely day for that.
Came back with something I thought was worthy of posting and then realised I did not take it at the 50 FL. What a plonker!

Last night I went through pictures taken in May, found a couple I liked, then checked focal length. Bums.

I saw yours Paul, nice one but I had a similar idea so now if I do that shot it'll look like I'm copying. I'll just have to think a bit harder which is hard...er. :facepalm::runaway::runaway:
