Yesterday, I took delivery of my new Samsung Galaxy S4. I was upgrading from an iPhone 4S.

I have to say, although I was initially worried about the switch over to Android, thinking id be spending a week typing in contact details, and losing purchased music etc, I have to say I have been extremely impressed with how easy it actually turned out to be.

Ive managed to get pretty much everything transferred using Google (Google truly is your friend), and am now an extremely happy bunny!

Theres probably some very tech savvy people reading this thinking 'Pftt', but I dont do this kind of this very often, and am pretty chuffed :D

Thats actually quite refreshing to hear.

Had a Galaxy for a couple of years or so now and apart from some initial problems which just needed a software upgrade, all has been well. Damn fine fones imo and as you indicate Google is a God send for saving and transferring stuff.

Totally agree. Got rid of my iPhone and had the same phone as above. IMO it's a much better phone.

Good to hear you're getting on with it, as the S4 will probably be my next phone, just hoping contract prices will come down a little. Currently have an S2 that's been a fine phone for the past 2 years.

I had agreed an upgrade to the S4 with my rovider (Three) from my S2.

Samsung delayed the launch till yesterday from the prvious Friday.

It left me thinking do I neex the upgrade so a quick call and I asked for their best deal if I kept the S2 and extended my current deal without a new phone. So got the One deal (2000 minutes call time, 5000 texts, 5000 Three to Three calls, Unlimited data). Price = £14 incl VAT per month on a 12 month cotract. Suits me. My S2 is still working fine.

I kinda regret not going for the 13 megapixel camera but a saving of £23 a month gives me a year to sort out any issues with the S4 or what next is coming out. Add to that my S2 is still working spot on
