Just bought a Billingham camera bag off Ebay. £69.00. Emailed some of the seller's photos to Billingham who confirmed it as an original bag. Well please with my purchase. Anyone else use Billingham bags?? I've wanted one for years but could never justify the outlay even though I know they are top of the range.Bill1.jpg

I am not brave enough as it screams steel me

Lovely bag, only ever seen one in the flesh and it was owned by a bloody student

Yes I have two. A digital and a hadley small pro, I think.

What's that one?

PS.
I hope you'll have many happy years with it Tom :D

Not too sure of the model. The guy from Billingham thinks it could be a 1980's series 5 bag. I have to admit to being quite relieved at his comments regarding the fact he considers it to be an original Billingham. That said, I doubt very much if the UK guy who advertised it on Ebay, in his 'shop' would try to sell 'ringers'. Ebay and the law in general don't take kindly to misrepresentation of goods..!!

Anyway, I'm a happy bunny with this. My wife has a Hadley small pro which her Leica CL lives in. This Billingham will be for my Bronica ETRSi, and bits.

I have 4 Billingham bags.

2 x Hadley Pro small, a Hadley Pro and a 225.

Last year they purchased a photo I took of my wife using one of the bags to promote on social media.

I wouldn’t say £69 for such an old used bag was a bargain to be honest, I see the older bags pop up on Facebook quite regularly for around £50 or so.

I've owned several Billinghams and they are certainly tough. Unfortunately, my view is that they add a lot of weight. I currently use 2 Tamracs, a Lowepro and a Manfrotto for different purposes. While not as tough as the Billinghams, they are a great deal lighter for comparable capacities.

Looks like an Old School 335, about £275 new nowadays.
i know this isn't a new one but it will still last many more years, they almost last forever. good bags. the very best.

I bought my first, a 445 in pretty used condition on here & its still going strong about 8 years later.
My Mrs thought it was all poncey & posuerish until i got her a (like new) Hadley Pro, again from classifieds here & she absolutely loves it.
A short while later a Photo Hadley (older Hadley Pro but without handle or rear zip pocket, same good size) came up at a sensible price on here & i bought that to use as a carry around.
Decant from the 445 what i need on the day etc.
So a little while later i see a Hadley Small in "as new" condition on here & that now has my Go-Pro stuff in it.
Bit of a pattern emerging now.....
Short while later... as "as new" Hadley Large in Black appears on here & i'm like "ooh black, interesting......." in a cupboard full of FPV drone components...
Then just last December a brand new Hadley Large in Grey with black leather was posted at a very good price. looks awesome, had to have it. Not used yet but it's lovely

So in summary i've bought 6 Billinghams from here, all at a massie discount over a new one & only 2 of them even looked used.
Not speaking to the Mrs at the moment so basically i only have 5 in reality so i'm not a hoarder. but i do like em.

Keep an eye on the classifieds & grab a bargain ;)

I agree for work we use Lowepro reporter bags. I have way too many bags, the search for the perfect bag never ends.

I have to admit they are heavy. The 445 is way too heavy when loaded which is why i decant into a smaller bag on the day...

Yes, sometimes you wish you had one of the other lenses

Well, if you ever get bored with photography you can now look the part if you take up fly fishing! ;)

Yes, I have one bought several years ago second hand and mint, it cost several hundred, mines the same but black with brown leather and the leather spreader plate on the strap, it’s the big one, has end pouches on it too, the quality of them is superb, however when filled it just weighs to much for me to carry so I use it for storing items in these days, I think mines a 450 or 550.. the good thing about them is the company does or did offfer a repair service for them.

You got a bargain in my eyes.

I've had a Hadley Pro for about 8 years now although it tends to carry my laptop and work now rather than camera, its become my daily bag but goes anywhere on my travels.

Truth be told I could probably do with a slightly larger one for work but I think the wife might kill me....

Wasn’t my intention and anyway at the moment delivery rather then arranging a local pick up is probably a better option.

Delivery for me is the only option.. I'm in the Isle of Man. And, right now, our 'border' is closed. No-one in, no-one out (except essential workers).

Too quiet for me. But.. it would make a good range bag when I go to my club to shoot..:D
