Last week I went to my car to find the suction cup for my dash cam hanging in the screen.
Went to put back on and it disintigrated.
So today I popped into Halfords to buy a replacement, only to be told it is a known problem and they are giving people free replacements,
which they have been given by Nextbase :D
Seems the hot weather has caused problems and quite a few are breaking up.
So if you have a problem pop into wherever you bought it from before you but a new part (y)

I have a Nextbase 512G and it has the option to turn the screen off if it is likely to be a distraction and it is not in line of vision.

Next time I see you at the BWC I will show you if you like.
 
By the mirror shouldn't be line of site.

Edit - just looked at the link. Yeah that would annoy me.

Fortunately my sucker has been fine, it pops off the screen if left in the sun all day however.

I have a similar mount I bought for the satnav and hated it, I really don't like things on the dash obscuring the view
