Next up on the celestial rock band - Keith Emerson

This is getting worrying. My youth is dying slowly.

First saw them at the Odeon in Brum and we were late getting there. We had tickets for the balcony and as we ran up the stairs we could hear the first bars of Tank. Got through the doors and it hit us. Absolutely deafening and incredible.

RIP a master showman.

Oh Good Grief........

At this rate there will be more gone than left.

It's getting worrying now but
If there is a heaven, and all the guys that have gone decide to jam together.... then.... I may need to mend my ways, just in case.... when my time comes...... I go where they are all not! I might be left with an eternity of bad 'trad' jazz or an eternity of a Nose Flute Orchestra.

RIP Keith.

OR, as Ian Gillan put it, "No laughing in heaven, let me out, I can't stay here!"

By now and as I posted in the other thread, Santa Monica police are reporting Keith's death as suicide. Seems he had a degenerative brain condition which affected his keyboard abilities.

Pictures at an exhibition was one of my teenage obsession albums.

Dreadful news, lovely memories :(

Terrible news the guy was a legend on the synthesiser ( and keyboards per se) :(

I saw this on the other thread, and and it prompted me to listen to Pictures at an exhibition
