Newborn shoots - Blanket size?

This is such a random question (sorry in advance!!) when shooting newborns or babies and you have that lovely soft blanket as a backdrop- what size blanket do you use? Is it just the bigger the better? :baby:

I've got a couple from TK Max that are about 180cmx120cm and are ideal for the job.

Do some test shots with what you have. If it's too small get a bigger one. Generally bigger the better to give you more options.

I got the Teddy Bear one from Dunelm Mill. It's amazingly soft and looks great in pictures:
