hi, i'm danny and have just registered. i enjoy taking my camera out while walking and capturing whatever takes my fancy, usually wildlife, nature old buildings etc.
looking forward to contributing to the site and hopefully learn some tips to improve my skills.
right, off to have a look around the site now.

iirc the file sizes for direct uploads are the same - though I must admit, I tend not to use the direct uploader for anything other than "disposable" stuff (screenshots etc ) - anything else either goes in either my Gallery or on Flickr. If you want to use anything larger than the size mentioned in the link above, i'd suggest using flickr or similar for the actual hosting, and just post the links that flickr provide (there's a help file for that here) - however, it's best considered "good form" to keep image sizes down to around 1200px longest side partly to minimise thread loading speed for people on mobiles/poor broadband.
