Hi everyone. Hubby bought me a very swish camera and I am totally new to photography. Can anyone recommend books in layman terms or the best way to learn? Thanks Jo

Welcome to TP, Jo

My advice would be

1. Read the manual
2. Read the manual again
3. Read the Basics section of this forum. Tons of good stuff
4. Go out and practice. Shoot loads.
5. Post pics on here
6. Ask the questions that you are bound to have
7. Take on board the answers to your questions. Go out and practice some more
8. Repeat steps 5-7
