top ten tips...hmm that might take some thinking about. At the top would be: Experiment with your camera and other bits of kit, the more comfortable you are with you kit the better the shots seem to be. You know how it reacts to certain situations and how to capture the best 
....oh and yeah joining here is probably the top tip like hypnotic says

Hello
I guess tips would vary depending on the level of the kit. My suggestion would be try taking it off of auto (assuming you can) and try some shots of the same thing using different settings you choose - to see the differences it makes.

Forget being too technical about every aspect as this might also cause you to lose shots you might have wanted.
Play with your kit and then play some more!
