Hi, had a rush of blood on a late night Ebay session and brought a Canon 400d. Guess you will now all tell me to not buy cameras off EBay?? Love taking pics with my 10mega pixel point and click but tend to get 1 really good one for every 50 ok ones. Thought it was about time to get some better kit... thought Canon 400d would be a good start????? It comes with the standard lens but would love some advice on a better all round lens to go for, on a budget! Like a bit of macro also as I am a gardener, bugs, plants etc. Any help advise, appreciated

welcome to TP , the canon 400D is a good starter camera , once you have a good understanding of the manual mode you can be very creative with it , all the help and advice you could possible need is found on this site , use the search button it wil be your best friend for the first few weks :)
