Hi all. New to this forum and I have a question or 2. I have just returned from Sri Lanka where the limitations of my Panasonic Lumix compact was highlighted. I have decided to take the step into something better suited for safari's as plans are afoot for next years adventure. I have been to Jessops this morning and had a look at the following:-
Canon EOS550D (18 -55mm lens) £659.95
Nikon D5000 (15 - 55mm & 55 - 200mm lenses) £569.00
and finally
Panasonic DMC-G2 (14 - 42mm lens) £449.95
Due to the menu system being the same as my current compact I am leaning towards the Panasonic as my first step. I had a look on the internet when I got home and found this on camerabox
Panasonic G2 14-42mm + 45-200mm Twin Lens Kit Black + Hama Pro Zoomster Case + Rapide Power 8GB HC Super High Speed Class 10 SD Saver Bundle
RRP price: £980 Bundle price: £655 Saving you: £325.00
with 5 year warranty.
A/ Is this a good choice for a complete novice?
B/ Are camerabox any good?
Any help would be gratefully received.
