Hi guys,
I'm on many forums which cover my interests (Car Detailing, Football, Music, etc.) Feels weird signing up and starting a welcome thread as it's been so long since I've signed up to a new one!
I'm 24, from Essex and I've always had an interest in photography. I never imagined that I'd get seriously into it but over the last year or so I've started to become more and more interested.
I decided to have a good read-up of a lot of internet reviews, forum posts, comparisons, this that and the other.
On the Friday just gone I laid in bed, bored and decided it was time to get started. I headed down to my local shopping centre at 9pm and left with a Nikon D5100 (w/ 18-55mm lens).
Since the price wasn't much cheaper online I ended up buying from Currys as I wanted it then and there (I'm not the most patient of people!)
So, two days ago I didn't have any idea how to do anything other than click it to auto and press shoot but I'm slowly starting to learn. There's obviously a lot to take on as I'm sure you're all aware but I feel determined enough!
I'm currently going through a Lynda.com tutorial which specifically explains the D5100 (one of the reasons I chose this was to get the direct help for the specific camera.) I've learnt a lot, and still have a long way to go but I'm enjoying it!
So, anyway, if you've managed to last this long I'll hopefully see you around!
