Hi all, I have made my garage into a photography studio the sizes are,
8ft high
13 ft wide
20ft long
I have a interfit 3 lamp studio set bought from Jessops at Christmas.
I need to know what ceiling lighting would be ideal use for the studio. I have been told daylight lights. I can get daylight bulbs but not the light fitting suitable for these bulbs. I have also been told if I get daylight lighting it will help when taking portraits.
I am finding it difficult to find these lights can anyone give me any suggestions on other lighting to get and where to get it from I have tried B & Q and can't find anything suitable.

Is this a flash kit?
Assuming that it is, the ceiling lighting will be irrelevant, it will have nowhere near enough power to affect your flash exposures.

But if it is a continuous lighting kit then you should get room lights of roughly the same colour temperature, otherwise you will get colour pollution to some extent or other. In this situation, you will be better off turning off the room lights when you take your shots, they won't really be needed and, if left on, will interfere with your lighting control. Again, if it's flash, it doesn't matter.
