Hi all
Just joined as this looked the best place available on a google search to get some friendly advice and help with improving my photography skills
I live in the Southwest (Cornwall) and earlier this year managed to get the £££££'s to go out and buy an Olympus E500 DSLR camera in a package deal that included 2 lenses, a printer and camera bag etc etc.
So far i am quite impressed with the camera and am still learning its functions/settings etc and could use some advice to gain the full potential of what this camera will actually do.
Since having the camera i havers been elected the position of "club photographer" in my local Ford RS owners club and have spent most of my time with this camera taking photographs of cars at car shows and also gaining track passes at track events so that i can get closer to the action and get the shots that others can only dream of
I have also experimented with landscapes and some very interesting shots of a firework display at Legoland when my family were treated to a weekend there a few months back
This is my first port of call on this website after registering so hopefully i will find out how to get some of my pics up sooner or later and let you all see some of my handywork
I suppose that i should add at this point that i am a family man with 3 young sons and a daughter who are all very photogenic and love our little trips to the park and other places to have thier pictures taken whilst in action
