Newbie saying hello & Merry Xmas

Hi all,

Not a stranger to forums but a newbie to here

I work in Asia and live in Worcestershire, UK,

Have always had a keen interest in Photography but NEVER has the time to learn about it until now (shame on me :bonk and having hit that middle age milestone in life, I'm a proud owner of a new Canon 650D which I'm getting to grips with as my first DSLR and only camera I can actually admit to actually reading the user manual and use it 95% of the time in manual mode and very happy with my basic understanding of it

Anyway, I'm looking forward to your advice on making it fun and getting the full use of my new toy
