I use a olympus om1 and a hand meter snd even at f11 it doesn't look that sharp and us pretty flat

It might help if you post some examples.

Shoot another roll and have it developed and scanned. Professional scans will be a better way to judge the results from your camera.

I'm going to send a roll away and see how it goes

Bought vuescan and wow, what a difference compared to the epson software

I've been using Peak Imaging for my devving over the last 4 months and so far they are head and shoulders above the others. Fast return and really clean negs, very impressed.

i will give them a try, the negs i got back from costco were dirty with scratches on.

Great improvement today shooting with simple olympus bought for 2 pound at the charity shop loaded with fujifilm colour.
Got used to vuescan and i'm now getting great result.
Next step is to get a good film camera:)
High end compact or Nikon f100 ??

If you've seen a big improvement from your shots using a charity shop cheap Olympus, are you sure it's not your technique causing poor results with the OM1? The OM cameras generally perform really well, I use an OM10 as a general 35mm shooter and also use the lenses on my Sony Nex-5 because they're so sharp.

The meter in my Om1 is erratic and he took me a couple a roll to figure it out.
Shot a roll using my sekonic light meter and he came out perfect but i can't see myself carrying a light meter when i shoot street.
Im need to get an adapter for the battery, the one in it is the wrong one and they stop doing the original one.
I use to shoot with an f4 without problem but that was 10 years ago:)
I'm looking for a Nikon F5 or maybe F100
