Newbie Question - What am I doing wrong with day light shots

Hello chaps,


I'm very very new to all of this and seem to have a silly problem...

I love taking pictures at night, mainly of car and the like and had some good (in my eyes ) results, but my daylight pics ofter lack any depth to the colour, mainly to greens.

I've read the manul for my Camera (Fuji S1000fd) and thought I had a gasp on it, but still no real joy.

Any idea's where I'm going wrong? I guess it will be some thing really stupied on my behalf.

Yeah tried the white balance it seems to go from been to dark to blown out whit - can't get a happy medium,

Guess I'll just keep playing with the darn thing... or stick to everning/night shots

Looking over the EXIF data at my "ok" daytime pics and the bad ones, I think you could be right.

Thanks, I'll have a play tomorrow afternoon and see what I can get out of it

I've nuked most of the bad ones now :bonk:

but these should give a idea of the lack of colour depth, both cars are a dark metalic green, but almost a dirty black in day light pics
