Hi all, I've just joined after seeing some motorsports pix in the forum area devoted to it (you guys are really good). I can't resist a site that has a section for my two favorite things. I have been involved in all kinds of motorsports including Ilmor Engineering and now I'm working for Bentley in Crewe. Picked up photography about 4 years ago when bought a 400D kit. Had a brief brush with photography back in high school (more than 20 years ago) but never a SLR/DSLR until the 400D. I've enjoyed the motorsports opportunities the last couple years, mostly at Oulton & Ss, and got runner up on MSV fan photo contest in Dec. Mine was the top row center of Tommy Hill dropping it at lodge on the Sunday morning race. Starting over this year with a new body, 7D, I bought my self for Christmas (itching to get out for more than test shots but not had the time and the weather together yet). POTY could be get e going.... time will tell.

Bentley must be paying well to buy yourself a 7D you got a cracking piece of kit their. Was just looking at the presentation for them over at B & H

Scott, all I can say is a few years ago I could never have justified it. Having learned so much over last few years I could now justify the 1D, but "settled" for the 7D. Seriously I'm very pleased with it so far and it is an amazing body with features, features and more features - I think this well keep me going for at least another 4 years. Roll on summer & race season

There is nothing wrong with treating oneself to a nice little pressy now and again. I do it pretty regular but dont't tell SWHMO

I agree with you about the weather, roll on light nights also
