Hey all,

So I got an excellent surprise Christmas morning when I opened my lovely Canon 1100D with 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens with a few other goodies!

I'd always said I'd like to get into photography yet had never saved for a camera so my parents did good! I have been out a couple of times (when it wasn't raining and have been having a play). Have also been reading up a lot and picked up a couple of beginner DSLR mags which are good reads!


Here are a couple of pics I have taken, both with a bit of help from Photoshop.

Don't recognise the location of the first shot ??

Whereabouts in notts are you ?
 
Hi mrgas. I live in Basford, the first shot is local by the river leen. Not the most inspiring location but it was boxing day and being a runner myself spotted the lady in the photo out and wanted to grab a shot!
 
Hi luke welcome to TP it's a great site with lot's of good advice if and when needed look forward to seeing more of your shots

I think I know where you mean now, the train and tram run down that way ?
