Hi Im Katy and i'm new to this, so please be nice.
I have a canon 1000D and would like to get the best out of it.
Is there anywhere online that would get me going?

Hello and welcome to the site:wave: I have only been here a few months its a great site for help and advice any questions just post onto forum no matter how daft the question is somebody on here will no doubt answer it :)

Welcome to Talk Photography. We all started where you are and some are nearer there than others. No question is too daft if you don't know the answer but lots of questions have already been asked so avoid the usual newbie repetition and use the search function.
 
Hi Everyone!
Im still getting the hang of it as its the first time I've had a SLR. Not taken any proper photos as yet. Just doing trail and error at the moment.
