Hello there,

I live in County Durham with my husband of one year, and our many many pets (1 dalmatian dog, 3 cats, 11 bunnies, 12 guinea pigs and 3 hamsters).

I am a complete beginner to photography and have recently purchased the Nikon D40 and started an evening digital photography course at college. I am mostly interested in animal/nature photography and have bought Photoshop Elements 7 but am ashamed to admit I have not used it yet as I find it all quite daunting! We love to travel and are visitng the Maldives in a few weeks and go to Florida most years too so that will form the basis of most of my photography xx

Hi there, & welcome to TP. If you stick with TP over time you will learn a great deal . I use elements7 , you can get wonderful photo manipulation with it . Good luck. colin

Hi and welcome. Don't be afraid to ask there, are lots of very knowledgeable people on here and there are plenty like me too:D

 Hi and :welcome: to Talk Photography

Hi  and :welcome: to TP.

Seems you're working yourself to setting up a nice zoo there :p ... As for not using Elements, you will find that many here buy stuff that we don't ever use ;) ...

Have fun on your trips, and be sure to post some pictures.

Welcome, where in the Maldives are you going? Is it your first time there?

Hi there, yes it is our first time there, we are going to Club Faru on North Male Atoll for a week, we were supposed to be in Lanzarote last week but a last minute bout of Gastroenteritis unfortunately meant we had to cancel an hour before the flight :( On a positive note though we saw a great deal for this trip to Maldives so snapped it up!!
