Newbie external flash help

Hi,
I have a Nikon D5000 and have been experimenting with some creative photos. After looking at some other photos and some searching, I am considering a flashgun to open up some creative possibilities... The budget is a bit on the low side. With that in mind, the following seem to get good reviews for the price...

What are other peoples experiences on these please? Do you really get what you pay for or are they okay as a low budget solution?

Nowt wrong with the flash, gets many a good word spoken about it on here.
The triggers I have never heard of.

Personally I would recommend Yongnuo triggers (rf602 or 603).

The flashgun has a built in receiver so you would only need a transmitter for the camera - this will save you some pennies too!
 
They're bloody great. I have 2 and a 602 trigger. Really, really good. With the money saved you can afford some stands and light modifiers and still spend half of what you would with Nikon's own. Get some in, you won't regret it

There are rumors that the cheaper 602s have a slightly higher sync speed. As I didn't need Rx/tx I went with the 602s.
