newbie alert nifty fiffty

hey hi all

Have myself a Canon 400d with a 17 - 70 sigma but looking to purchase a nifty fiffty as the lens seems to be very fast and good for head and shoulder shots? Has anybody got any pictures taken with this lens for me to view.
Only just getting into this so apologies in advance if its a dumb question.

its purty, I love fast primes, I just need more focal lengths now......

until i got the 50mm f1.4 it was a close contender for my favorite lens

Get the f/1.4 -- it's £200 more expensive but I used one the other day and the build quality is in a different league. The f/1.8 is very plastic and feels like a toy.

if you end up never using it the f1.4 is a lot of money, the f1.8 is about the same as a decent bag......

I use my 1.8 all the time so bought a 1.4 for the superior af and extra two thirds of a stop love both to death, in fact my 1.8 now lives on my film body
