Newbie - Advice Welcomed

Hi all,

Complete newbie to photography here - recently received a 5D Mkiii which looks like a wicked piece of kit, but I'm hopelessly ill-equipped to use it..... at the present! I want to change that scenario!

I'm specifically interested in getting into shooting sports photography and portrait style shooting so any links to great starter threads on here, or links to great advice etc, would be really welcomed!

I would suggest you see some example works from other photographer also, their experience can make you more knowledgeable I guess so. Welcome to this community
